靳尚谊，1934年生，河南焦作人。1953年毕业于中央美院绘画系。1957年结业于马克西莫夫油画训练班，并留校在版画系教授素描课；1962年调入油画系第一画室任教。原中央美院院长。现为中央美院博士生导师、教授、中国美协主席、中国文联副主席、全国政协常委，中国文学艺术界联合会第十届荣誉委员，澳门科技大学荣誉博士 ，中国美协第九届名誉主席。
