安塞姆·基弗
Anselm Kiefer
（1945－）
德国新表现主义代表画家之一。他被公认为德国著名的当代艺术家和美术家。是当代德国艺术界伟大而寡言的特立独行者。70年代，他曾师从德国当代最有影响力的前卫艺术家约瑟夫·波伊斯（Joseph Beuys）和Peter Dreher。
基弗曾有“成长于第三帝国废墟之中的画界诗人”之称谓，其画无论创作手法还是呈现面貌均极为现代，但往往主题晦涩而富含诗意，隐含一种饱含痛苦与追索意味的历史感。他沉浸在粗粝的色调中，像一个思考者、读者和认真的探索者，尤其是对德国历史的探索，用冷色堆砌出巨大而充满伤感意味的物象。
绘画是为认识，认识是为绘画。我着手每一个新主题、处理每一种体验时，首先是没有任何讨论的。认识是在绘画过程中产生的，但进而所获得的观点又改变了绘画。这样一个过程，这样一种循环推论，是我们在每一幅画的创作中都可以应用的。
